Course Descriptions

Chesapeake Bay Summer Program
Includes environmental study in the field (hands on training, water sampling & data collection), training in GIS and GPS, college counseling and tours, and cultural activities (museum visits, baseball game, concerts).
Open to students from all over the world, we offer five and ten day programs!

Introduction to GIS (4 days)
During this 16-hour course attendees will learn how to visualize geographic data, create maps, query a GIS database, and begin to understand how to solve geographic problems using a systematic approach. Collect field data and learn how to use a database in this hands-on course. Trainings are conducted over 4 days (4 hr classes) or two weekends (8 hr classes). Timing can be modified to meet your needs.
