                               Rajiv Sharma, President

Mr. Rajiv Sharma has 25 years experience in mapping technologies, from rudimentary mechanical map plotters to the latest state of the art GPS, aerial photograph interpretation and satellite imagery analysis. His experience in premiere institutions in India and the United States, work with NASA , General Dynamics - Land Combat Systems (Falls Church, VA), Northrop Grumman MD and his knowledge of Remote Sensing, Earth Observing Systems, Geo-processing,  Geo-statistics, 3D Analyst, Data Management, LIDAR, Photogrammetry, Cloud Computing,  make him well equipped to provide consulting and training  in  this cutting edge science. He holds a Graduate Degree in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Associate of Science Degree in Software Engineering, Master’s in Defense Studies  from JL Nehru,  Aptech and Madras Universities in India and a Graduate Advanced Academic Program Certificate in Geospatial Information Systems and Remote Sensing from the Johns Hopkins University, Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences.  He was recently employed as a Program Manager for a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and currently manages a GIS consultancy and training company listed as a Minority Business Enterprise in MD.

                                Maria Paniw, European Liaison

Ms. Paniw's experiences in GIS include image classification, spatial data mining, landscape-level assessments of habitat quality, and habitat suitability modeling. Maria has worked for several regional and international non-profit environmental organizations in Europe, providing spatial modeling and GIS-supported ecological assessments. Her GIS work provided vital analyses on the spread of invasive plants in the Carpathian Mountains and contributed to the protection of threatened toad species in Germany. Maria possesses a strong background in natural sciences and excels in raster data manipulation, spatial analysis, and spatial statistics in ArcMap, DIVAGIS, and R.  She has a BA in History and Biology, an MS in Environmental Sciences, and recently completed a PhD in Evolutionary Demography in Cadiz, Spain.  Maria  is fluent in five languages and has over seven years of academic experience.

Giuseppe Amatulli, Hydro-spatial Services

Dr. Amatulli is an accredited GIS data scientist with deep expertise in spatial modeling and software coding for environmental applications. His experience spans GIS technologies, remote sensing, informatics, cluster and parallel computing and statistics. He is proficient in complex modeling techniques to automate the analysis of high-resolution data under Linux-based platforms, and uses open-source programming languages and software, such as such as GRASS, R, PYTHON and QGIS. His coverage of the forestry and environmental sectors entails hydrographical applications, wildfire occurrence risk and pattern recognition, climate-driven ecological shifts and geo-engineering scenarios. Dr. Amatulli has held academic and advisory positions at Yale University, the European Commission and the University of Zaragoza. He has a PhD from the University of Basilicata, an MSc in Geo-information Science from Wageningen University, and an MSc in Forestry from the University of Bari.

Tushar Sethi, Hydro-spatial Services

Mr. Sethi has extensive strategy consultancy experience in the environmental and energy sectors, particularly with regard to the techno-economic analysis of projects and charting materials flows. His wide-ranging coverage of infrastructure includes water management, waste treatment and materials recovery, and energy from waste and other renewable sources. He has provided expert insight to a variety of clients, including investment managers, and government and private sector institutions. Before his career as an environmental technologist, Mr. Sethi worked for several years in liability risk management at Merrill Lynch and debt origination at Daiwa Capital Markets. He holds an MSc, DIC in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a BA from Emory University, USA.

Innovative,  results-oriented professional with  12+ years  of  experience  as an organizational/business  analyst  focusing on grant program  management, research and  development  for  Science, Technology, Engineering and   Mathematics. Outstanding  record of achievement in implementing strategically aligned programs to strengthen retention and promote career/workforce  development while improving the quantity and quality  of the nation's underrepresented   minorities in STEM. Successful accomplishments in partnership development connecting non-profits, government  agencies,  corporations,  small businesses, higher education  institutions as well as private and   public   school  systems. She has a Master of Science, Information Technology from University of Maryland University College and Master of Business Administration, Management &Technology from Bowie StateUniversity.

Amy Blue, Higher Education Consultant

A results-oriented professional with nine years of  experience  as an educator. Ms. Blue has promoted student achievement through working with the International Baccalaureate Program, AVID, STEM, various higher education institutions and community business partners. She has helped to create relevant and engaging curriculum that fosters career readiness. Ms. Blue takes an active role in guiding students and works regularly as a mentor teacher with University of Maryland University College. She has a Master of Arts in Education from Gratz College and is a graduate of Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.  

                               Katarzyna Trzopek, GIS Specialist

Ms. Trzopek is a GIS trainer with Go Global GIS, knowledgeable in the Geographic Information Science and GIS software including its Geo-processing, Spatial Statistics, Spatial Analysis, and Data Modeling capabilities. In addition she has experience with database management systems, website development and manipulating projects in ArcSDE and ArcServer in a Cloud environment. Ms. Trzopek is a Penn State graduate with varied teaching experience. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Environmental Science and Policy at Johns Hopkins University. She speaks English, Polish and Italian.She is also a US and Poland national level fencing champion.

  Johanna Busch, GIS Assistant
 
Johanna Busch is a GIS student at McGill University in Montreal.  She has experience in spatial statistics, remote  
  sensing, and spatial analysis.  Johanna has extensive experience in a variety of teaching settings including working
  as a teaching assistant in classrooms, a camp counselor, a tour guide at a natural history museum, and a compost
  educator. She believes passionately in the power of geo spatial analyses and teaching GIS, especially to younger
  demographics, in order to empower them to improve their communities.
